Why am I “The Guy in the Hat”?

Catholic school. Military dad. No hats indoors. Ever.

So when I got old enough to make my own decisions… I made one.

I started wearing a flat cap everywhere. Conferences, stages, client meetings. I wasn’t trying to be memorable. I was wearing it because I finally could.

Then a funny thing happened. People would come up to me at events and remember what I’d talked about, but refer to me as “the guy in the hat.” Over and over.

It stuck.

And honestly? It fits. I’ve never been a one-thing person. I wear a lot of hats professionally, too: sales, marketing, product, implementation, training. I like building things, getting them moving, and handing them off to people who can run them better than I can.

What started as a small act of independence became how people knew me. Eventually, it became my personal brand.

I’m Aaron Murray. The Guy in the Hat.

Now you know why.
