It Feels Good to Enjoy Your Work
A change in my family’s needs led me to rethink my working life. At Subatomic, I’ve found flexibility, shared values, and work I enjoy: helping people get their day back.

I really enjoy my job. And after the last six months, I don’t take that for granted.
About six months ago, I made some big changes in my life. My father has Parkinson’s, and I needed to rethink how I structured my workday, what I did for a living, and how it all fit together.
That change led me to Subatomic. And I’m really glad it did.
The work-life balance has been fantastic. So has the work itself.
I get to help build agentic operating systems, workflows, and AI co-workers. For someone who loves figuring out what technology can actually do for people, that’s a pretty fun place to spend the day.
But my favorite part is handing a solution to a customer and watching it click.
That stupid thing in the spreadsheet they’ve been doing over and over? They don’t have to do it anymore. Exporting the same information to five different places? We can help take that off their plate.
All that busywork they hated doing starts to get out of the way.
Now they can spend more time with their customers. More time doing the work they were hired to do. More time on the things they actually want to do.
It feels pretty fantastic to be part of that.
And the values matter just as much to me.
Privacy. Data ownership. People having control over their own information.
One of the things I value about Subatomic is that customers keep their data in their own environment. It’s theirs. If they decide to leave Subatomic, that data is still there, in their space, under their control.
That means a lot to me.

It’s also something I think every customer should ask about when evaluating a technology company or a SaaS solution: Where does my data live? How easily can I access it? What happens if I leave?
I want to feel good about the answers when I’m on the other side of that conversation.
The last six months have reminded me how much it matters to enjoy your work, believe in what you’re building, and have room in your life for the people who need you.
So, thank you to the folks at Subatomic. For the flexibility, the shared values, and the chance to help people get some of their day back.
I really enjoy what I do. I’m grateful I get to do it here.
